Carson Drew is a four piece, estrogen fueled, pop/wave powerhouse that was formed in February 2004. This virtual indiegrrrl lovefest is made up of a trio of sisters.

Jessica Rabbit: vocals and keys. Eleanor Ugly: Guitar and vocals. Lydia Loveless thunders away on her bass. Parker Chandler, lonely male of the group: drums.

The key to happiness is finding out what you really want to do and doing it. For us, thats making music. When it comes to hammering out tunes their philosophy is simple: Avoid cliché and cloning other peoples sound. Music should be a reflection of your soul; your likes, your dislikes, and hopefully an inspiration to those who listen.

Their songwriting process involves the crunching together of that - Buddy Holly beats Iggy; Iggy covers Blondie; Blondie cuts Buddy era - from the 50's to the 80's. With a vintage look and all-points-in-between sound, each member brings their own brash style to each musical creation. Whether it be from the self described; softie romantic/rabbit, keen analytical thinker/loveless, resident toughie/ugly, or political philosopher/chandler; Carson Drew is credited with, "producing some of the best indie rock to come out of Columbus in a long, long, time." But even with such eclectic minds on the case inspiration can run out. When this happens the group finds fuel in their perennial favorite: A tall glass of bourbon, with a triple dose of PMS and a twist of attitude.

In 2005 Carson Drew was invited to play at Lollapalooza and started getting airplay and face time galore. The band played gigs for a year straight before taking a break, finishing up 2006 with a mini-tour from (Madison WI-Greewich Village New York.) Now they're stoked and ready to tour nationally as an opener. How stoked are they? The road points in all four directions: Upward, onward, forward and full-speed-straight-ahead.

Having recently finished up their full-length CD titled "Under the Table" now awaiting printing and distribution the band looks to the road. Meanwhile, their second recording project begins in early 2007.

Music is available at Friday the 13th & Magnolia Thunderpussy Records of Columbus, carsondrew.com, any of their shows, and Barnes and Noble any day now.
