Southampton local and ALiVE Recordings founder Tom Budden teams up with up-and-comer Forrest to add to their already impressive collective discography with their EP on Get Physical ‚'Quattro’.
The title track doesn’t mess about, coming straight out of the gates with high-energy percussion while the house chords slowly rise. This culminates to a mix of sultry vocals and bright chords to create a genuine feel-good late-night vibe perfect for hot summer sets (you might remember this one from „Get Physical Music Presents: Miami 2015“ Compilation). The Monday Club remix of ‘Quattro’ brings a heavier bassline and deeper atmosphere to the mix, creating a thick late night groove. ‘On The Low feat. Forrest’ plays a decidedly more organic feel while taking the energy down just a hair. Where the energy here has been somewhat throttled, the ambience makes up for it. A smokey vibe to sway your hips and shuffle your feet. It’s the perfect companion and counter to the title track’s hi-energy approach, elegant and resourceful. All in all, this marks another great release from Tom and Forrest, and we are super happy to welcome it into our home.
