Martin Bohata aka DJ Kara Maehl discovered his passion for electronic music back in the early 90's, when he used to
visit small underground partys across Switzerland.
Soon he starts DJing, playing at smaller private events. With the passing years he got booking requests from
respected, well known Swiss clubs & festivals. Always looking for interesting uniquie sound he progressed in his career
and international Booking demands followed so he got to proof his skills at events in South Africa, Australia, Germany,
France, Czech Republic, Greece, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Austria, and more.
In 2006 he meets Patrick Sonderegger (La Baaz, Paste) and they decied to join forces and startet to create & produce
music together. Working under the name 'La Baaz & Kara Maehl' they reched major appearance on respected international
labels, such as Echoes Records, Blue Tunes, Plusquam Records, and more.
This remarkable team has been managing together the successful party line Kinky Beats (based in Zürich, CH) hosting the
cream of the crop of the Progressive & Techno, producers roaming planet earth, such as, D-Nox & Beckers, Maelstrom aka
DJ Emok, Khainz, Cafu, True Lies, Beauty and The Beat, Minilogue, Atmos, Ticon, Perfect Stranger, Brisker & Magitman,
and many more. They also released two Kinky Beats compilations which received positive feedbacks, and major successes.
During the year 2007, he joined Echoes Records as Label DJ & A&R
These days between traveling & touring the world, 'La Baaz & Kara Maehl' working on their new Minimal / Techno project called 'Moosfiebr', and you can expect new releases soon.
