iLs returns with 'Dark Skies', the third single off his album '33rpm', released on Distinctive Records earlier this year. We've enrolled the skills of a bunch of heavy hitting remixers, starting with breakbeat legend Rennie Pilgrim.

Rennie's rendition is as razor sharp as you'd expect. Rolling breaks with huge snares power underneath the vocal, complete with dub skanks, heaving bass and subtle strings. Next up we have the original in all it's glory. Massive drums and that powerful lead from Jewels Lindt tied together with solid keys and power ups.

Behind The Scene step up next, delivering a storming DnB edit. The drum edits are crisp and erratic, driving a frenzy of excitement before the drop, which rolls out just right with the bongos and mad bass combo. ManOne makes good use of the source material to create this skilful Electro-House track, with clever use of the vocal and a keen ear for entwining melodies. iDiJi opts for the halftime 140bpm affair, which suits the vocal and mood of the piece to a tee. Punchy beats and deep subs are the order of the day on this one, with a well considered arrangement that lets everything breathe.

to complete the package we've thrown in the instrumental of the original for good measure too. Available in all good digital shops from July.
