Mother Falcon - Dirty Summer - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 21, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
The band Mother Falcon began as an after school jam among a handful of Westlake high school orchestra students looking for a more creative outlet than reading sheet music. Absorbing like minded musicians, the jam session quickly snowballed into an organic band not scared to explore their varied musical influences.
They're currently writing music for their next album, scoring a documentary film, and developing a summer camp for young classical musicians.

Dirty Summer, the song in this video, "was written at the tail end of last summer and debuted on a rowdy tour through Mobile, Huntsville and Birmingham, Alabama. The song is very much about the crisis at the intersection of youth and adulthood. Everyone in the band is going through the same things and dealing with them in what is sometimes the worst way possible, as young adults often do. I guess this song is our ode to both the liberated summer and maturing. We recently recording Dirty Summer and re-recorded Alligator Teeth for a limited-run 7 inch record that we plan on releasing at the end of August. Our dear friend and long-time supporter Zoe Cordis Selbin is producing and funding the album."
