Daniel Kahn & the Painted Bird perform "Sunday After The War" at the 2012 Lotus World Music & Arts Festival. http://lotusfest.org/ Detroit-born Daniel Kahn is now based in Berlin, where he has become an integral part of the international Yiddish and klezmer scene. Kahn is an actor, poet, composer, and musician, and with his band, the Painted Bird, he performs a unique mixture of klezmer, Yiddish song, political cabaret, and punk folk. The band is joined on the stage by clarinetist Ben Schenck of the Panorama Jazz Band for "Yesterday is Buried" an old Ukrainian drinking song according to Kahn.
