DESCRIPTION:
It is my great honor to present these recordings/videos in order to preserve the legacy of S. Talbot Thayer (1930-2016) for future generations. As my high school choral director Mr. Thayer had a profound impact on my life and I will forever be grateful for his inspiration, the talks, his advice, the stories, the listening sessions, the dinners, the MUSIC, but most importantly, the love. I will miss him dearly, but I also know that he will always be with me. The videos on this Calhoun Choir YouTube site are from 1959-1985 when S. Talbot Thayer was director of the Sanford H. I don't know how I missed putting it up on the site until now, but it seems most appropriate.
