Van T is Chantel Van T, who grew up in the coastal town of Strand (Cape Town), who started teaching herself how to play the guitar in order to guide her voice in the melodies she had in her head. After being in two indie type bands she wanted to write music that would be as personal and as close to heart as she could in order to give the audience a truthful performance and for them to take away their own interpretations in their lives. Her live set consists of raw acoustic guitar ambience along with her voice and self written lyrics.
