DESCRIPTION:
Small venue and a lot of the core of Auckland metal-heads equals mayhem. The event was a BYO and subsequently the final song of the night was a display of sheer drunken mayhem by the crowd... random members from other bands, fueled by alcohol, join in at various points... Good to see that though everyone had enjoyed perhaps a few too many drinks, everyone played nice and nothing untoward broke out.

My cameras were knocked about but they held their ground. The side camera was knocked out of alignment thanks to the energetic moshpit unfortunately, but I learned something important about camera placement because of it.... Dawn Of Azazel delivered as they always do - a wall of ferocity second to none. Rigels vocals were a bit quiet due to a lack of sound engineer monitoring the small PA, so unfortunately the vocals are a bit on the quiet side, but the band did an excellent job as always. Hopefully I get to film them on a large stage with a large PA which does them justice. It was nice to see a band as well known and internationally recognized as they are do a smaller local event with the same professionalism as a large one.
