Lee formed Methods of Mayhem on the eve of his divorce from Pamela Anderson. Lee has said he wrote most of the songs while he was in jail. Their first self-titled album was released in late 1999 and went on to be certified platinum.

The group featured appearances by Fred Durst, the Crystal Method, U-God, Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim, George Clinton and Mix Master Mike.

The band was infamous for its appearance at the Italian Gods of Metal festival where their appearance and execution style prompted a thrown-objects riot from the metalhead audience resulting in a forced cancellation of their set. They played Ozzfest 2000 which was more receptive. They disbanded in September 2000.

Tommy Lee announced that he is reforming Methods of Mayhem, and it has been announced in January 2009 that Lee, Kai Marcus and DJ Aero are the current members and will start recording in March 2009. It has since been revealed the band has added Lee's solo band drummer Will Hunt on Drums. Methods of Mayhem recently have been signed to Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records.

Tilo since leaving the band has collaborated with numerous acts/artist such as Slipknot (Clown and Sid), Hoobastank( Marcoo), Linkin Park (Chester), P.O.D (Sonny & Wov), Cypress Hill (B-Real & Sendog), Tha Dogg Pound (Kurupt & Dazz), De La Soul (Maseo), Pearl Jam (Dave abbruzzese) Jane Addiction (Stephen Perkins), Orgy (Ryan, Jay, Paige), Papa Roach (Tobin), Incubus (Brandon), Hed Pe, Iron Butterfly, 40 Glocc, Ras Kass, Ghetto Boyz (Bushwick Bill), RBX , Warren G, Alice In Chains (Sean Kinney), Sleepy Brown, X-Zibit.

Tilo's new project Fyuzion NDX is an eclectic group including Tilo, Young Roscoe, Kurupt (DPG), Marcoo (Hoobastank) Sid & Clown (Slipknot), Ravi (Ravi Drums) and has been Gaining attention from numerous labels and is signed to E.M.I Music Publishing The album features Guest such as Chester (Linkin Park), P.O.D , Tha Dogg Pound, Cyress Hill. The group has just finished shooting their First music video (Grace) with director Jeff Cole.

Tilo also appeared in the movie The Matrix part 2 playing a band member along aside of numerous other musicians.

DAVID MARION began his musical career at the age of 6 by playing a variety of musical instruments. By 10, he changed his focus from clarinet to drums and, then, began his career in bass guitar at 16.

To further cultivate his interest as a bass player, he attended C.I.M., a jazz music institute located in his native land of Paris, France.

From there, DAVID MARION continued his studies and obtained a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

He also got the opportunity to take lessons with the great VICTOR WOOTEN from Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, STEVE BAILEY and ADAM NITTI at the Bass/Nature Camp in Nashville, TN.

Raised as a Christian and inspired by artists like Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin, he gained more experience by playing with Gospel bands (New Gospel Family, Jo Ann Pickens, Gospel Act, Maggie Blanchard, Exo...). Since then, he has performed world-wide (Europe, Australia, Africa, Pacific, Canada...) with various television/radio appearances (Hit Machine, Top of the Pop, Urban Rush, 20h10 pétante, CBC, Fréquence Jazz...) for different genres of music (Rock, Pop, Soul, Folk-Rock, Gospel, World, Smooth Jazz...).
