From Northampton Danny Grant has never known anything other than

singing. His earliest musical memory is staying up late to listen to the 'Love Hour' on Radio Luxemburg. If he knew he was going to miss it, he made sure somebody else recorded it so he could listen to the soul greats, Barry White, Al Green and The Stylistics.

Singing whereever he could, at what ever opportunity presented itself, Danny sang Shalamar songs, George Benson classics and those of his most treasured artists, the late Luther Vandross. Danny would even take himself down to the Roadmender club in Northampton where they had a music room and just jam with whoever happened to be there and with whatever instrument they played on the day. Having formed a vocal group with his brother and half sister Danny had a taste of success with their single 'Carry On', unfortunatley the production team turned down offers of a deal and Danny and the production company parted ways.

Since that point Danny has worked with a number of people and put himself through his paces as a vocalist, 'I'm a singer of great songs and the different people I have worked with have shown me just how much great music there is out there, songs I would never of considered, but melodically they blow you away'.

Danny has worked hard over the years but nothing that has matched the end results of 'Songs of the Broken Hearted'.

'I have crossed boundaries making this record, and found a new belief in my singing which has been twinned perfectly with music accompanying it. For me this album is about what music is all about, feeling, emotion and making a connection with people'.

"Songs Of The Broken Hearted" was recorded and mixed at Amarna Studios, London. Produced by Peter Todd and released on Chilled World Recordings.
