Daniel Bachman stops by the Fretboard Journal to put his workhorse Martin D-18 through its paces on William Moore's "Old Country Rock."

Bachman’s father purchased this Martin new in ’71. The instrument has since seen its fair share of battle scars, cigarette burns and neck damage… not to mention a M.I.A. pickguard. But it seems to serve as the perfect tool for Bachman and his American Primitive style of guitar playing. In this video, Bachman explains how he obtained the guitar and just what has happened to it on the road.
