DESCRIPTION:
Maxim Mendez is the name of the new 28-year old DJ/producer talent from the Netherlands who wants to take over the world with his music. Right from childhood onwards Maxim Mendez mixed all kinds of music and made his own version of these hits. When he started playing his music in nearby clubs he noticed that this was the perfect way to develop his talent even further. With the audience's reaction he could decide if his mixes were good or if they needed some tweaking. In his attic room he worked on his music till he noticed that his audience went crazy.

At the beginning of this year he decided that he was ready to let other people hear his music. So he sent out a couple of remixed demos of the classic hit 'Things Can Only Get Better' from D-ream, together with a 2 hour DJ-set to EMI MUSIC in Germany.

Maxim Mendez chose Caly-C for the vocals. Caly-C was born in Cali, Colombia but was raised in the Netherlands. After the conservatorium, Caly-C started her professional singing career, it wasn't long before Caly-C was part of a group, doing vocals for DJ's as : Ferry Corsten and Eddy de Clerq and starred in a lot of national and international shows.

EMI was so impressed that the duo immediately was offered an international record label. 'For us it's a dream come true, we've both been dreaming of an international career for years and when a record company who is now taking over the world with David Guetta is so enthusiastic about our work we are more then happy' according to the pair.

The single version of 'Things Can Only Get Better' was mixed especially by Veronica Ferraro in the Super Sonic Scale Studio in Paris. She was responsible for the mix for the megahit of 2009 'When Love Takes Over' by David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland.

With their first single, Maxim Mendez and Caly-C want to leave a message, 'Music brings people together and is a language that everybody speaks. The whole world is in a crisis and it's time for a positive signal. If everyone starts thinking positively together then it could only get better from now on "Things can only get better"
