Homecoming and the Reel of Contentment - Corrina Hewat

'Homecoming' and the 'Reel of Contentment' were written as the finale tunes to 'The Song of the Oak and the Ivy', a piece commissioned by the Edinburgh International Harp Festival to celebrate their 30th anniversary, and the 80th anniversary of the Clarsach Society. The piece has been written for 6 players and 10 harps, including electroharps, acoustic harps and wire harps. It was then developed to be more accessible to harp players of all abilities, from early beginners through to advanced players. All the players involved in the Host of Harps saw the music in advance, and all enjoyed the chance to perform it en masse at the Host of Harps.

Corrina is performing and teaching at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival 2013. Find out more about her by visiting her website: www.corrinahewat.com
