"Clouds that I like" is a setting of an excerpt taken from Sei Shonagon's
classic The Pillow Book. The music is a reflection on the simple yet colourful
and fluid imagery portrayed in the text.

"Clouds that I like" is dedicated to the memory of my father, and was first presented
at the Shogakudo Hall at the Tokyo University of Music and the Arts on 23
January 2011 as part of a project featuring new works for Japanese and
Western Instruments - Basil Athanasiadis
