The Fender CD-100CE electro-acoustic model is from Fenders Classic Design series and has a Dreadnought body shape with a single cut-away. The body has been crafted from a Laminated Spruce Top with Laminated Mahogany rear and sides and uses black and white layered body binding. Unusually the neck uses Nato wood with a Rosewood fret board that has 20 frets. The body has been constructed using scalloped cross body bracing and on the left hand edge sits the on-board Fishman® Isys III pickup system with active on-board pre-amp and chromatic tuner

The machine heads are die-cast and chrome plated whilst the bridge (like the fret board) uses Rosewood. The nut is compensated for a better playing performance and the bridge uses black nylon bridge pins - each with a white dot for string retention. The cosmetic appearance is completed by circular black rosettes around the sound hole and a black nylon scratch plate and its fitted with Fender® Dura-Tone® Coated 80/20 Bronze strings (.012-.052 Gauge).
