DESCRIPTION:
Up close and personal with some local, musically-inclined lads for the release of their new album, "Everything's Up For Grabs." This was a complicated edit, but it came out not so badly, I think. Shot with a Sony HX9v/Zoom Q2HD combo (tech notes further down.) For more info:

Tech Notes:
I again used the Q2HD as the audio recorder for the HX9v instead of my Zoom H2n. Like the Cuddle Magic video from this night, this was a tricky video, but mostly with the audio: I was obviously standing very close to the horn section and the main speakers, so getting that all balanced was not so easy. The raw video was very green tinted, but that adjusted up pretty simply and cleanly. I used VirtualDub with a filter stack that included Color Mill, MSU Denoiser, and MSU Smart Sharpen. Instead of Ffdshow to open the MTS files, I used the beta version of FFInputDriver, which seems to handle darker areas better (although it otherwise makes VirtualDub susceptible to freeze-up.)
