Aisha , the very young wife of Muhammad might have been the inspiration of this tune by McCoy Tyner who was a Muslim as a young man. Aisha is a strange role model ,married at six ,consummated by nine, she is an example of child abuse,planned marriage, and old men buying children.The schism between the Christian and Muslim cultures couldn't be more apparent. Western educated women ,striving for equality are an anathema to Islamic countries especially those that espouse Sharia Law or the fundamentalist . Isis sends in suicide bombers which sometimes are women to disrupt and destroy and make a point of illustrating that women must be subjugated by men. The Jewish-Christian culture also maintains the characterization of women looking to their husbands as man looks to god. This tenet is generally whitewashed to mean something other than the obvious. Scratch the surface and you find the same subjugation of women by all the Abrahamic monotheist . At the age of 18,McCoy Tyner became a Sunni Muslim, but now says that while he thinks spirituality is important, he is not a strong follower of any religion: "Being a Muslim was part of an exploration.
