“BOOMBOOM” is a new single that combines two powerhouse talents under one roof.

Derrick Barry is a performing sensation that has become one of the breakout stars of this CURRENT season of the hit TV show “Rupaul’s Drag Race.”

Chris Cox is a Grammy Nominated producer who has hit #1 on the Billboard Dance chart over 50 times, and has produced & remixed official releases for Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Cher, and most recently, Gwen Stefani.

When Derrick was chosen as an official cast member of the 8th season of “Rupaul’s Drag Race,” his worldwide tour and appearance schedule exploded. His visual transformations and professional choreography were already widely known, but it was on the TV show that the world discovered Derrick is a legitimate singer! Pop legend Blondie stated on television that Derrick is an “excellent singer!”

His talents caught the attention of Grammy Nominated Producer CHRIS COX, who has already done several live shows with Derrick. Since Cox has produced official releases for Britney Spears herself, the pairing of Derrick and Cox has been a natural fit. Cox wrote and produced a perfect melodic house track, and Derrick wrote sensual, but playful, lyrics. The result is pure pop perfection with a club edge. The world premiere of the single will be on SiriusXM’s Utopia on Cox’s nationally syndicated radio show the weekend of DragCon, the sold out Drag Culture Convention happening at The Los Angeles Convention Center on May 7-8, 2016.
