This is one of my favorite songs ever. I was attempting to record a couple other songs tonight but I just couldn't nail it. So I gave up and tried something else. I usually do tons of takes and pick the best one to post. This is the one and only take of "Lovesong". I think it's coming from an honest place. It was recently covered by the amazing Adele, it's been covered by 311, and the original is by The Cure. Classic. It's a little extra special cause I sang this at my ex-boyfriends wedding a few years ago.(the couples request) Many many years had passed since we were together and both of us are deeply in love with our current partners but we always remained friends. So, I was happy to help make their day special. I couldnt keep from crying a little while I sang to them. I love better because of what we went through and I'm thankful for that.
