DESCRIPTION:
Since buying Recloose's 'Cardiology' in 2002 from Selectadisc on vinyl, there's been a widening place in my record collection for beats and vibes like this one; Monkey Robot's rework of a Pierre Ankaert Trio track, which are both found on the 74 Miles Away LP. A project that is brought to us from Belgium via 'Laid-Back radio'.

Also on the release is a track named 'Neverending Rhodes' - a quality mixture of warm house bass and sparkling nu-jazz beats completed by a whole spectrum of fresh and blissful sounds. The Fender Rhodes mark 1 Stage 88, and the Rhodes Mark 1 stage 73 piano's are celebrated at the forefront of this LP project and sound great on every record.

Monkey Robot have recently featured on 'Bastard Jazz' if you're looking for more. Submotion Orchestra and Floating Points have released some fine beats recently in this genre as well.
