Triasco's "LOTL (Pyramid)" at Cameron Tummel's CalArts Recital - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 04, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
World percussion ensemble Triasco, featuring Josh Linsky, James Waterman, and Cameron Tummel, performing their original composition "LOTL" at Cameron's recital at CalArts.

CT: "We now refer to this piece by its third name, Pyramid. If you watch the opening sequence of this video, maybe you can imagine why we chose to abandon the original name, "LOTL." This same arrangement also appears under the name "Triasco" on our recording on the CalArts - Capitol Records Jazz CD 2015. Whatever you want to call it, Josh is on kidi, djembe, and axatse, James plays sogo, axatse, and gonkogwe, and I play dundun, djembe, and ankle bells."

Many thanks to the crew and facilities of ROD for this video.

Triasco's performance was part of Cameron's MFA World Percussion Graduation Recital from California Institute of the Arts. Recital also featured the CalArts Djembe and Dance Ensemble, directed by Cameron, and Flip Fit (aka, Azoli) Ghanaian high life ensemble, directed by Victor "Nani" Agbeli.
