Cameron Tummel's djembe solos in the World Percussion Ensemble performance at CalArts' World Music and Dance Festival, May 3, 2014. Also features solos by ensemble directors Randy Gloss on pandeiro and Houman Pourmehdi on tombak.


CT: Participating in the 2013-14 World Percussion Ensemble at California Institute of the Arts was an honor. Kudos to Randy Gloss and Houman Pourmehdi for their leadership and guidance, and infinite thanks to everyone in the ensemble for all the music, laughter, struggles and success we shared.

Apologies for the mic stand in the center of the shot. When I set up my camera, there was only one power source available, so I plugged in, pointed it at the stage, turned it on, and went to do the show. The crew set up more mics once we were onstage, including this one.
