Today we're looking at a handmade overdrive from Buffalo FX out of France, the Evolution. This 4 stage overdrive takes the "best of both worlds" approach by incorporating the thick & creamy sustain from the 70's Big Muff and huge, defined overdrive heard from Mr. Gilmour. Buffalo FX uses a mixture of Germanium and Silicon components which lends a unique harmonic signature to the tone unlike any other pedal. The flexible Contour shapes the midrange frequencies from flat to fat. This is a key component is dialing in those massive power chords or giving your solos a commanding voice. Buffalo FX also designed the Evolution to be used through the entire drive range, letting you use the pedal as a light drive or mid enhancer along with those monstrous distortion tones.
