DESCRIPTION:
For years, Bob Marley's children followed in their father's altruistic footsteps, only their work wasn't limited to music. Rohan harvests ethically grown coffee, Cedela is the CEO of Tuff Gong and designs sustainable clothing, Stephanie manages the Bob Marley resort in the Bahamas, and of course, Ziggy, Damian and Stephen continue to record. But their endeavors don't stop there.

Recently, the family teamed up with a select group of partners, Marley Ventures to develop a new, nonprofit brand that would bring the existing efforts together under one roof, and create Bob Marley-branded products within the electronics, apparel, beverage and entertainment verticals. However, they were lost when it came to branding their vision and marketing it to a mass audience. Knowing that BLITZ has worked with clients such as Adobe and Starbucks Coffee on their corporate responsibility efforts, the Marley family and Marley Ventures sought us out to develop the brand and help launch the global movement.

Knowing that Bob wasn't a commercial individual, our first goal was to create a brand name that didn't use his namesake. And would have to appeal to an audience that ranged from zealous youths to conservative moms and those who may not be familiar with his music. For inspiration on nearly all our work we turned to Bob's music. And it wasn't long before we had a solution — "One Love." It's a bold statement that the world can embrace and shout out for global unity.

After defining the name, we were faced with the tough task of creating the brand identity and selecting the philanthropic causes that this organization would support.
