Faint Lines is a collaboration between Bedfordshire based producer, writer & composer Rob Nelson & word-smith Blaine Fontaine, hailing from Cambridgeshire.
During the autumn of 2013, Nelson began to throw his songs open to the global underground music scene via the internet, hoping to attract a healthy interest from diverse vocalists and singers. At around the same period, Fontaine was flitting through the online classifieds & music forums in search of producers and/or songwriters that may be in need of a vocalist. Rather like Internet dating, this is how the two would-be collaborators began their partnership.
In much the same fashion, two became four as Nelson & Fontaine concluded their search for a worthy rhythm section for the live shows. Here, that rhythm section took shape in the form of Ashlee Green on drums, and Rick Greenwood on bass.

The rest of the story is now captured in ‘Change', the debut album from Faint Lines, available now online and via www.faintlines.com/shop

The Faint Lines sound is predominantly a blend of natural bass lines, guitars, synths, driving acoustic drums and foreboding orchestral layers coupled with post-punk era vocals delivered with a sense of urgency & fragility. With comparisons to such 80's bands as Teardrop Explodes, The Chameleons, The Smiths, and early U2, Faint Lines also draw similarities with Coldplay, Temper Trap & Jane's Addiction.
To date, Faint Lines have appeared on several radio stations, including the BBC Introducing network, as well as some more local & Internet based stations.
