Bare Knuckle PG Blues in a Gibson ES 335 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 19, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
A little documentation of the installation of a pair of Bare Knuckle PG Blues Humbuckers into my Gibson ES 335. Thanks to my good friend Bent K. Michaelsen for good company and encouragement during the process, and I've also used a little of his detailed video footage from the installation process.

I should also mention that I haven't installed them to be out of phase to replicate "the Peter Green sound".

I'm improvising over the chord-progression to one of my own compositions.

I'm using a BOSS RC-3 loop station and an OKKO Twin Sonic for a little boost/crunch at some places in the video.

Sound is recorded with a SM57 close to the amp (Genz Benz Black Pearl 30) and a Studio Projects B1 to capture a little of the room. Processed and mastered in Logic Pro 9 with a little reverb added as only post FX used.

Video of me playing is done with a Panazonic TZ20 (and a few clips from my iphone 4s). Bent's detailed footage is done with a Nikon D5100.
