Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queen P90 in the ES-335 clone - straight jazz - Video

My take on the "good-jazz-tone-on-a-budget" quest. I have recently bought chinese (!) Washburn HB-35 in cherry red. I did the unthinkable - I bought it ONLINE without trying it first. It actually turned out to be pretty good guitar with sweet and loud (and I mean LOUD) sound unplugged, but the stock Washburn humbuckers were plain terrible. They killed the guitarĀ“s natural twang and resonance and added hars mids, muddy and boomy low end and ice-picky highs....oops- every guitaristĀ“s nightmare, I guess :-D So I decided to fix it using HB-sized P90s from Bare Knuckle pickups. They call them Mississippi Queens and I call them Tone Kings. They literally saved the guitar and now it is not only a sweet sounding jazz-box, but killing classic and southern rock machine as well. I have to mention, that the Washburn is very well made, actually better than my former Gibson Es 135 LTD, which costs ten times more (really 10x - no exaggerating here) and had troublesome neck and crappy switch. Kudos to guys at Bare Knuckle. They make some great stuff ! :-)
