Performance: Ben Sollee at TEDxSanDiego - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 24, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Ben Sollee is proof that, as he says, a cello is not just an instrument; it's a cultural touchstone. As he and drummer Jordan Ellis play unplugged, he introduces an inspired, new musical style and tells stories of his journey touring by bicycle. He's also joined by violinist Zach Dellinger and Monarch School graduate Cynthia Valenzuela on vocals in an impromptu collaborative piece.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
