Even though it has thorns, the rose is famous for its beauty.
Many things can have prickles on the surface, in order to protect themselves. The most important part though is essentially something else: the fragrant, the colours, the beauty.
This helps me reminding to look underneath the surface, also when things are painful, often the layer underneath is fully worth to take it as a whole: The thorns and the rose form one unity.
