I “The Bankrobber” sono una band italiana formata a Riva del Garda nel 2008 principalmente ispirata al sound e melodie british.

Il nome infatti deriva dall’omonima canzone dei “The Clash” e la loro musica è principalmente influenzata dal brit pop, new wave e post punk del nuovo millennio.

Attualmente i membri del gruppo sono Giacomo Oberti (voce/chitarra) Andrea Villani (basso/cori) Maddalena Oberti (Voce/tastiere) Stefano Beretta (Batteria) e Simone Gallinari (chitarra/voce).

Pochi mesi dopo essersi formati vincono il concorso Nazionale “Rock Targato Italia” (2009). I Bankrobber hanno all’attivo un album e tre Ep, l’ultimo dei quali uscito ad aprile 2016 (The Land of Tales).

Nel 2010 collaborano con Enrico Ruggeri che canta in “Moviola” e due anni dopo la loro versione di “Senorita” entra a far parte dell’album “Le Canzoni ai testimoni” del cantautore milanese come iTunes bonus track.

Lungo il loro percorso la band ha archiviato concerti su tutta la penisola.


The Bankrobber are an Italian rock band formed in Riva del Garda (TN) in 2008. The band currently consists of Giacomo Oberti (vocals / guitar), Andrea Villani (bass guitar) Maddalena Oberti (keyboards) Simone Gallinari (guitar) and Stefano Beretta (drums).

The name The Bankrobber is derived from The Clash's song and their music is primarily influenced by the British new wave and post-punk revival of the new millennium.

Few months after forming the band won the National Award Rock Targato Italia (2009).

The group has released four EP and one studio album: Rob the Bank (2010) Indifferente (2011) Rob the Wave (2013) Gazza Ladra (2014) and The Land of Tales (2016).

They have also released the single "Señorita" feat Enrico Ruggeri - Le canzoni ai testimoni (2012), Always on my mind - Elvis Presley cover (2015) and Good Road to Follow (2015).

Along the way they have achieved a lot of concerts all over Italy.
Their most recent Ep The Land of Tales has been released on April 2016.
