Original 1959 Bandmaster - A Diamond in the Rough - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 24, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
In this video, the Bandmaster is sparkling like a diamond. These amps are different and unique to themselves and rare on top of that. This particular amp still has all of the original caps except the electrolytics which I changed myself. The treble control really drives the amp. Anything over 7 and it adds some gain. Here I have the treble and the presence maxed out. Some people don't like the sparkly sound, but I do because that is what Buddy Guy uses a lot. I can mellow it out if needed but I like the compression it adds when you are playing hard. One of my subscribers is thinking of buying one so I thought I would put a clean demo on although I do have the Vibe Baby in "cancel" mode right after the beginning. The beginning is pure clean Bandmaster. I am playing through my 1964 Fender reverb unit also and 1966 gray bottom pickups in my 1962 Strat. This is the same amp (one like it) Pete Townshend used to record "Who's Next." That and a Gretsch 6120 were gifts from Joe Walsh.
