DESCRIPTION:
My take on this fiddle tune. It was influenced by the Shaw Brothers guitar composition from the FGM transcription, Jason Shaw's Flatpicker's Reel CD, and their video.I put in some of my own ideas into the phrasing of the melody. This tune has been a bit challenging to say the least. A few rough moments trying to keep time with the loop in a few spots. Practicing to keep up with these advanced players has been a fun and great learning experience. I hope this video inspires someone to take a hand at this number. My 3rd video I ever recorded myself. Pretty amateur video via Iphone but it does not sound half bad! The guitar is a1982 J.W. Gallagher G-45, Mic is a Neumann KM184, The board is a Allen & Heath ZED10FX, the speaker is a QSC K10, my back up rhythm track is through a Jamman Stereo Looper.
