"All praises due to His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I.
Without Him this music would not be possible. The contents within were specially selected for you the people. Created between 1975 and 1982 for the Rockers and Message labels, most were released as singles and have never been re-pressed; none has ever appeared on an LP before.
The reason this LP is called "King David's Melody" is that Haile Selassie I is from the line of King David and King David was always playing his harp. Through the divine inspiration of Haile Selassie I, this name was chosen.
This music which is sometimes misunderstood, has been called many different names. This music is strictly spiritually orientated by inspiration received through the most high Jah Rastafari Selassie I. It is then translated as reggae music - the music from creation.
One love
Augustus Pablo and Michael McKenzie"
