BAND BIO: In their previous incarnation as punk-pop band io, Tanuja & Atom Fellows were finalists in Oxygen's nationwide band contest, and regularly played sold-out shows at NYC's CBGBs, Mercury Lounge, and The Elbow Room, as well as for Rock and Wrap It Up (in collaboration with MTV). TransAtlantically reformed as T&A (he's in NYC; she's in LDN), their gigs have included NYC's The Bitter End and Joe's Pub, where the band was a New York Magazine star pick of the week, Time Out New York Clubs section highlight, and Flavorpill choice for the launch of When We Were Twins, the album of original songs based on Tanuja's first novel Born Confused. T&A's track "Paani" is featured on 207 Records Upstate Manhattan compilation and "Sari" has been on the soundtrack of BBC1's Desi DNA. The two cowrote many of the tracks on Bombay Spleen, Tanuja's booktrack album of songs based on her novel Bombay Blues; one of their tracks, "Seek Me In The Strange" (produced by Atom & Tom Choi) has also been selected for the soundtrack of director Liz Hinlein's feature film Other People's Children.
