The Aruán Ortiz & Afro-Cuban Experience is an international quartet lead by "one of the most versatile and exciting pianists of his generation", the Cuban pianist and composer Aruán Ortiz, featuring some of the most forward-thinking, creative musicians coming from the new generation of Cuban jazz, such as the bassist, Yunior Terry and the drummer Lukmil Perez, along with the up and coming young saxophone player star from New York, Logan Richardson.

Their music represent a moving tribute to the legacy of the music and dances that forged the socio-cultural foundations of the uniquely Caribbean, mix of African and European heritage, blending Avant-garde jazz language, contemporary classical music, and Cuban-Haitian folkloric rhythms into their repertoire. This concept that expand stylistic boundaries, infuse a new approach never conceived in Modern Jazz before. The result is a high-octane music, full of intensity and soulful touch, inspired by the traditions from the new world but looking toward all the sonic possibilities of the music of their moment.
