DESCRIPTION:
While "introverted" and "extroverted" are Jungian concepts that have become familiar, less so "the shadow," and for good reason. There aren't many people willing to look at their unconscious motivations, fears, and attractions. That's the shadow: the part of our personalities where we keep all the stuff we don't want to know about. We think we're keeping a lid on things; keeping secrects from ourselves, but any fool knows if there's one person you shouldn't expect to be able to hide things from, it's yourself.
Jung had another concept, individuation, by which one becomes integrated; self-contained--a true individual. Dragging your shadow contents out into the light of self-awareness make you more indivisible, more individual and more human.
So this hip-hop instrumental rap beat is theme music for my shadow, as represented above.
