Following on from the incredible Ulterior Motive remix of Future Cut and Jenna G's 'Obsession' on Razor's Edge is another immense reworking of a Metalheadz anthem. This time it's a more recent affair, as Rido returns to last year's hit 'Twisted' featuring singer songwriter Thomas Oliver to offer up a stunning VIP mix that will have fans of the original version waiting with baited breath until its release.

Taking the original version of 'Twisted' and manoeuvring it into a deeper and altogether darker place, Rido displays his versatility and musical talent throughout this new mix. Showcasing his ability as a film and TV scoring musician, 'Twisted' and this new mix are packed with epic touches and outstanding emotive moments.

As the intro opens proceedings, Thomas Oliver's vocals wash over tinkling piano melodies and string sections that are loaded with urgency, creating a cinematic backdrop. Rido's flair for the dramatic is in full effect and it's not long before the differences between the VIP mix and Rido's original version make themselves well and truly known.

The track progresses as Rido throws in production nods to the heyday of jungle with comb filtered drum loops and timestretched vocal samples that are blended up with an incinerating, winding bassline and a visceral energy that goes straight for the dance floor jugular. At once displaying a love for the terrifying and juxtaposing it with a deep understanding of beautiful musicality Rido turns this 2011 Metalheadz anthem into an undoubted future Metalheadz classic.
