DESCRIPTION:
Dark and moody 'sorta pop' song recorded during practices for Samin Sons farewell party gig. I was particularly pleased with the trajectory of the song, it was totally improvised on the spot and the guitar solo started out one handed cos I was still holding a microphone in my other hand.. It never occurred to me that it was gloomy until my partner Sara asked if I would please put on my headphones whilst editing the vid cos it was making her want to slash her wrists. Haha. Theres another track I recorded at the same time thats more of a swirling psyche noise thing and I'll probably release the 2 together at some point- or maybe save it up for a maudlin torch song album?
The video is mostly based on cellphone footage of the gig itself courtesy of Stephen Clover. It features cameos from global warming deniers and is probably generally a bit confused, but then so am I a lot of the time.
