sweet berry in my mind
favourite bird in my shelter.
He favours me and I favour him
his eyes are lovely
my heart is sweet.

He did not cast me out
or leave me alone.
He took me as his own
called as his darling.
Took me as his beautiful one
chose as his life's light.

So onto him I hang
like a bird in a leafy tree
like a squirrel onto a spruce.
