Big Bizz Media announced today that filming has begun on “BIRDS OF A FEATHER 2” starring Curtis “Al Nuke” Johnson (BIRDS OF A FEATHER, FINESSE, BAGMEN) as Nuke and Grammy-winning and multi-platinum producer Xavier “Zaytoven” Dotson (Future, Drake, Migos, Gucci Mane) as himself. Directed and written by Al Nuke, the film BIRDS OF A FEATHER 2 is about two cousins fighting to deaden their hollow past. Zaytoven is a popular world-renowned producer who breaks new heights in his career but in the midst of his success, he is tested by the temptations that come with being in the spotlight. With family members of the deceased Doc (Big Bank Black) seeking redemption and obstacles from enemies, arch rivals and even close friends, Zaytoven‬ must respond to the pressures and turmoil of his newfound fame. Serving as executive producers are Nuke and Zaytoven. Filming will take place in Atlanta, GA with the film set for a national release Fall 2017. “BIRDS OF A FEATHER 2” is still casting guest star features.

“I decided to write a film like this because I meet so many young people wanting to get into the music industry but don’t know the business side, which to me is the most important part,” said Nuke. “This series shines light on how important it is to educate yourself in order to have a legitimate and lengthy career.”

“BIRDS OF A FEATHER” became an instant indie classic for the millennial set when it was released in June 2013. Alongside Nuke and Zaytoven, the original film starred Gucci Mane, Rocko, Big Bank Black, T.K. Kirkland and the late Carlos “Shawty Lo” Walker, amongst others. Major big box retailers such as Target, Walmart and Best Buy, Netflix as well as Redbox distributed the film.
