Albert Niland Spanish Heat - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Here is one of the first tracks I did on my debut album in 2003, Dirty Day, right after some years of fascination in the flamenco world. Based very loosely on the traditional flamenco rhythm of Alegrias, which is a cycle of 12. The world of flamenco stole my heart back in the days I used to go and listen to it most nights in Madrid and Seville. The singers sang from the bottom of there toes, as the veins strained in their faces and necks, and the guitarists played like they were on fire. It forever tinged and colored my attitude towards guitar playing, and ensured a lifelong respect for what for me are, and always will be, the greatest guitarists in the world..High priests of their craft. I was happy just to have experienced it, and heard it, let it run through me...
