DESCRIPTION:
Lyda play traditional Irish music blended with gypsy and jazz influences.

The group are made up of Niall Connaire (fiddle/whistle), Sean Ahern (guitar/vocals) and Darragh Kearns-Hayes (Double Bass) met while studying together in the Cork School of Music's BMus degree course but only began playing together after finishing their studies there.

They play a mix of well-known traditional tunes in interesting arrangements as well as jazz standards and the odd pop song.
