AEPNIA (AP-nee-ah) is an alt/hard/rock and roll power trio consisting of three quarreling brothers who look nothing alike. Their tightly-arranged, hook-laden tunes are packed with clever overdriven riffs, effects-drenched atmospherics, head-bopping beats, and infectious melodies.
Hailing from San Diego, California, AEPNIA derives its name from a hybrid of the Greek and English meanings of apnea, and symbolizes the restlessness of ambition and determination, the dreams that keep us awake at night and distracted during the day.
But don't let the concept fool you, these guys ROCK!!! The three soulful hard rocking brothers (who truly look nothing alike) conjoin to output an enormous wall of sound, sweat, musicality, and mood. And crowds around San Diego have begun to take notice!
Formed in the summer of 2007, AEPNIA quickly hit the San Diego live scene with their passionate stage show on the strength of a garage demo (Brick By Brick, Canes, 710 Beach Club, Dream Street, Second Wind, Jumping Turtle).

4-22-09 AEPNIA's track "Not The End" will be featured on the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon Compilation CD! New Balance is the Official Shoe Sponsor of the upcoming San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon, and as an Official Sponsor they hand out free compilation CDs to runners and spectators at the Finish Line Celebration!! We are freakin' honored to be one of the 10 bands chosen!!!!

4-09-09 AEPNIA has been selected to play the 25th Mile Stage at this year's San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon!!! AEPNIA was one of 39 bands chosen to perform. AEPNIA will be playing alternating sets with rockers Waiting for Wyatt from 8:00am to 2:45pm on Sunday, May 31st at Enterprise St. & the PCH!!!!
