After a successful debut record with Crash Music/ EMI, another 6 month tour, new radio market relationships including the popular MUSIC Choice and Sirius Octane were formed. KICKING K8 spent numerous weeks with their first single "SCORE" atop most stations request logs.
KICKING K8 has garnered new fans and critics alike with their tiredless road schedule. This year seemed to be no different.
After spending much of 2009 on the road, the band has come to a cross roads with their future and current line up.
The band has learned alot the past 4 years playing alongside some of todays biggest bands. "You cant help but soak in all the professionalism and work ethic of some of these bands" explains co-founder and drummer Billy Nychay.
"Playing with the likes of Disturbed, Shinedown, Stone Sour, Buckcherry, Sevendust, Three Days Grace and a million others puts it all in perspective of how hard you have to work. Nothing is given in this business" adds co-founder and bassist Johnny Fingers.
The band is currently on hiatus. All members agreed it was in the best interest of all parties to take some time to pursue other projects.
