ok now that all the basic bitches have left i actually like aquatic ambiance a lot tyvm but OMG no one cares about any other dkc songs i swear to god

bayou boogie is one of those under-popular dkc tracks & it’s really one of my favourites from the series. i looooove it it’s so melancholic & melodic & good!!!!!and no one cares. what the heck. it’s so weird. have better taste. & there’s like no remixes of it too!!!get out. anyway i had to fix that. i was rly unorganized planning this one so it was a struggle but i think the final result sounds rly cool in some parts. the sound design was a lot of work but i think it’s neat!!!!was trying to go for that clean sort of electro sort of electro house aesthetic????sorta???with tight mixing & bass and shit. i hope it sounds good. also was like, let’s not use any clap/snare on the second beat for the whole song!!!yeah!!!!restraint! i find i always need to do that to keep energy flowing in a track but i didn’t this time so i rly have it in me then to restrict myself!!!!haHA!!!!!!yay. rly a good exercise this remix was overall

confession: i haven’t played thru any dkc games myself but i’ve watched them all played & they look lovely & i know i would love them if i owned em. always been a true fan of the soundtracks tho. david wise compose my life pls

enjoy, been a while since i’ve done an unpredictable remix. don’t expect it to get a lot of attention but that’s cool. more su/mo stuff next week. :))
