Peter James sings the very rare People Say. Written and produced by former Rolling Stones-manager Andrew Loog Oldham. Arranged and conducted by David Whitaker.


In Oldhams book "2 Stoned" Whitaker says:
"Andrew wanted me to go to Los Angeles to record a local lad called Peter James for Reprise".


Sadly that's the only info. on PJ in either of Oldham's books. Even more sad is that this is everything publically known about James!


Peter James recorded at least six, perhaps seven 7#-records between 1960 and 1966, worked with wellknown names like Snuff Garrett, Sharon Sheeley, Jackie DeShannon, Jack Nitzsche, Jerry Capehart and Jimmy Bowen. The seventh record is possibly released by Warner Bros in 1966; Hung on to your lovin´/Sunset Strip.


So, who has any more information about this great singer?
