DESCRIPTION:
This is a video I made myself for this beautiful concerto based on the themes composed by Ed Welch for the 1978 movie The Thirty-Nine Steps. I did this because it's impossible to find a single track from the original lp on youtube. Alos, it's my first attempt with windows movie maker, so I'm sorry but I'm a beginner with it !
Let's go back to the music: on the lp, orrchestrations and pitches are slightly different from what we heard in the movie and this piano concerto doesn't appear in it. This written in a Rachmaninov-style for the essential, and beautifully performed by late Christopher Headington.
It would be interesting if a label could produce a deluxe edition of Ed Welch's socre including the lp version and the music in the movie. Why not ? Hey, guys ? Do you read me ??
