It was better off dead

From her wound
The children paint portraits in blood ,
of a million young boys , lost in the flood
it was a zippo raid near the DMZ
it should have gone down , one , two ,three
we went in with guns a blazing,
rockets blasting and hell araising
till I caught one in the spine
and crumpled to the ground
like a withered vine
