Zara

Zara Ahmed is a folk/rock musician based in Montreal. She's a big fan of Josh Ritter and Cat Power, and would love to play in a tribute band called Cat Ritter. She toured her last EP, Reasons for Seasons, with folk/indie/pop musicians such as Vivek Shraya (who sings on the album's song "Clean"), Jay Brannan and David Dean of Toronto's AZORES. Her new, full-length album Act of Treason was produced by Kevin Lynn of King Cobb Steelie (and Holy F*ck alumni) and is a gutsy garage-folk album a la PJ Harvey or (who are we kidding) Cat Ritter.
